VIPs - Volunteers in Public Schools

 Birney relies on our VIPS to make events happen. The PTA relies on VIPS to help with PTA sponsored activities such as the end of year party, movie nights, etc.  Apply online or scan the QR code in the hallway on the PTA board (across from the office).

About the PTA

What Does the PTA Do?

A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a school-based organization where volunteer parents, teachers, and other school staff collaborate to improve students' education and school community. 


The Birney PTA:

  • Hosts fundraisers to raise money for events and academic programming. 
  • Collaborates with school staff to coordinate volunteers for Birney events.
  • Facilitates school events such as movie nights, school carnivals, field trip buses, school dances, teacher appreciation, etc. 
  • Sells Spirit Wear!
